Organiser: Marcin Trepczyński, University of Warsaw
Keynote: Stan Krajewski, University of Warsaw
Religious Dialogue is a complex process in which its actors present the tenets of their religions and try to better understand each other. It often happens that they represent different views, which are rooted in different assumptions. However, the process goes on. It is possible due to the fact that the actors follow special patterns which can be described in terms of non-classical logics or special models based on specific logics, such as the Oscillation Model proposed by Stan Krajewski. This is a basis for many interesting questions concerning logic and religious dialogue.
Moreover, actors of logical dialogue often present argumentation, which is interesting from different perspectives, including the classical aspects distinguished by Aristotle: logos, pathos and ethos.
Additionally, the recent development of Large Language Models opened the door to include them as actors or even moderators of such dialogue. As a consequence, new questions arise, such as: should they follow certain logical patterns in the context of such a dialogue.
We invite original papers which refer to different aspects of religious dialogue seen from a logical perspective. Topics may include, but are not restricted to:
Submitted abstracts should be concise and focus on the key results which will be presented in the paper.
The workshop is financed by the University of Warsaw.
